FHCS Celebrates Decades of Service by Honoring Two Distinguished Educators

by | Jun 5, 2023

Flint Hills Christian School (FHCS) is delighted to announce the dual dedication of a science classroom and the planting of a tree to honor two esteemed faculty members, Merv Bitikofer and Linda Warren, respectively.

The “Merv Bitikofer Science Lab” pays tribute to Mr. Bitikofer’s exceptional 30 years of service at FHCS. An expert in chemistry and high-level mathematics, Mr. Bitikofer’s dedication to his students has left a lasting impact on the school and the many generations of students he has taught.

Simultaneously, FHCS honors Linda Warren, who has devoted 15 years to teaching fourth grade at the school. A tree will be planted in a prominent location in front of the school as a symbol of Mrs. Warren’s dedication and the growth she has fostered in her students. Like a tree, her influence has provided a strong foundation for students and will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

Mr. Zimmerman, principal of Flint Hills Christian School, said, “For many years, Merv Bitikofer and Linda Warren have been a cornerstone of this school. Their expertise, along with their genuine passion for teaching, has left a lasting legacy at FHCS. We are also expressing our gratitude for their ongoing commitment to our school and our students as they look forward to another school year this August.”

Both teachers were recognized at a school-wide pep rally on Thursday, May 11, 2023. FHCS warmly invites all families, students, alumni, and local community members to explore the dedicated classroom and soon to be planted tree during any upcoming open event throughout the 2023/2024 school year.
