ELEMENTARY K-6

Our elementary school programs, from kindergarten through sixth grade, are designed to build on the foundation laid by our pre-K program to continue to encourage the zeal in learning. Low student-to-teacher ratios help create an environment rich in fostering self-expression, problem-solving, and to take ownership of their education.

FIELD TRIPS

Field trips are organized each year to enhance learning from the classroom, including:

  • Corn Maze
  • Kansas Insect Museum
  • McCain Theater
  • And many more!

SAFE COMPUTER USE

Keeping students safe on school computers/devices is of paramount importance to FHCS. Our 6th grade students are equipped with a year-long course in digital citizenship, including healthy computer, internet, email, social media, and cyber safety practices. This is one measure we are taking to equip students with the tools to prevent a myriad of dangers that arise from the use of technology.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We believe it is essential that our younger students understand the importance of community service through:

  • Visiting Nursing Homes
